Shin-Etsu KY-1908 is a fluorine-based anti-fouling and anti-fingerprint coating developed by Shin-Etsu Chemicals in Japan. This product belongs to Shin-Etsu's well-known SHIN-ETSU SUBELYN™ KY-100 series and is often referred to as "anti-fingerprint oil" or "fluorine coating." It is mainly used on the surfaces of screens, glass, and touch panels of high-end electronic products.

  • Hydrophobic and oleophobic: Possesses an extremely high water/oil contact angle, effectively preventing liquids and dirt from adhering.
  • Easy to wipe and fingerprint-resistant: Fingerprints and grease left from daily contact can be wiped away extremely easily.
  • Low friction and scratch resistance: Forms an extremely smooth nano-scale film on the substrate surface, reducing the dynamic coefficient of friction, improving smoothness, and preventing scratches.
  • Fast drying: Belongs to an oil-based system, with a fast drying speed (typically ≤ 0.5 hours).
