Key Physical Properties
- Boiling point: 76°C, more stable at room temperature than Novec 7100 (61°C) and 7000 (34°C), less prone to evaporation and loss.
- Freezing point: -138°C. Surface tension: 13.6 dynes/cm, maintaining extremely high permeability, excellent for cleaning micron-sized blind pores.
- Kinematic viscosity: 0.43 cSt at 25°C, exhibiting excellent pumping and shearing properties.
- Dielectric strength: >25 kV, possessing high electrical insulation properties.
- Safety/Environment: Flash point is zero (not recognized as flammable); ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) is 0; GWP (Global Warming Potential) is extremely low, exempt from VOCs in the United States.
Main Application Scenarios
- High-end vapor phase degreasing and light-load cleaning: Due to its boiling point of 76°C, considered the "golden window" for vapor phase cleaning, it is often used as a cleaning and rinsing agent, effectively removing particles, light oil stains, and fluorinated grease from electronic components and flexible circuit boards.
- Two-phase/single-phase immersion liquid cooling: Commonly used for liquid cooling in high-density servers, data centers, and power electronic equipment.
- Lubricant/coating carrier: Often used as a diluent for fluorinated or silicon-based lubricants; its high boiling point ensures more uniform concentration during spraying, leaving no residue on the surface after evaporation.
- Specialty solvents: Used as a reaction medium or extraction solvent in semiconductor and wafer manufacturing.
